Visa Services
We have put together the following information to help you obtain a student visa.
In order to obtain the Czech 09 student visa you will need the following documents. Please note that all documents must be presented in the original or as a notarized copy and must not be older than 180 days.
The following documents must be submitted (remember, you are applying for an 09 student visa):

The application form available upon request at the Czech Embassy, at a consulate or online at: www.mzv.cz/jnp/en/information_for_aliens/index.html

Two (2) passport size photographs

Original passport: its validity must exceed the expected length of stay by at least 455 days.

Document confirming you have sufficient financial resources for a stay in the Czech Republic. This can be proved with a bank account statement in your name from a bank in the country of your residence or in the Czech Republic. It must show your present balance together with your name. For a one-year visa, you will need to demonstrate the equivalent of at least 120,000 Czech Crowns (about $8000).

A document regarding the purpose of your stay in the Czech Republic. This will be provided by Tiffin University Prague. In order to produce this document we need to have your passport number and country of issue, date and place of birth, and permanent address.

A document regarding accommodation in the Czech Republic This document can be arranged by Tiffin University Prague. Please ask for more details.

The Criminal History Record from the country of your nationality A document confirming that you have never been indicted and sentenced for a crime of any kind. This will need to be notarized and in some cases super-legalized (with an Apostille seal). Again, please check with your local embassy for their exact requirements. Note also that this process can take several weeks.

The application for the Criminal History Record issued by the Police in the Czech Republic. The form, which is available upon request at the Czech Embassy or a consulate, must be completed at the embassy at the time of your visa request. This requires that you show an official document listing the names of your parents (usually this is a birth certificate or passport and may or may not need to be translated, please check with the local embassy for their requirements).

A processing fee for Criminal History Record Fees Paid in cash at the embassy.

Health Insurance (in English) for the duration of your stay. For students, it should cover one year.

33,000 Kc deposit paid to Tiffin University Prague. The record of payment is included in the purpose of stay document listed in no. 5 above. The deposit is returned in full (minus all transaction fees) if you don’t obtain the visa.
