As part of our philosophy of expanding and broadening horizons through the arts, humanities, literature and social, community giving, Tiffin University Prague is sponsoring the "Make a Difference" community service project through both funding and the donation of an MBA course for their auction.

Information about this project to raise funds (100,000kc) to offset the cost of reconstructing a center for at-risk children can be found at www.makeadifference.cz.

From March 15 - 17, Dr. Richard Butler and Dr. Richard Ellis of the Higher Learning Commission were on our campus to conduct an international site audit as part of the re-accreditation of Tiffin University, Ohio, USA. During their 3-day visit, Drs. Butler and Ellis toured our facilities, observe classes in progress and met at length with our administration, our faculty and our students.

We're looking to provide personal development seminars for the next academic year (available to all students and alumni) and we would like to get your input on what area you would like to participate in.

We are happy to announce that  the committee of Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports decided on March 4, 2010, to add  Tiffin University Prague to the official list of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports' recognized schools and universities in the Czech Republic.

During their visit to Tiffin University Prague, on Wednesday, February 24th, the representatives of the ministries were very complementary of our facility and of the professionalism of our application.

Please welcome the return of Tiffin University Ohio (Drs. Haan and Mays) to Tiffin University Prague from March 15-17. They will be joined by Dr. Butler and Dr. Ellis of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

As is normal, Tiffin University is undergoing its annual audit by their regional accrediting agency and Tiffin's international sites will be included in this year's audit. Their visit will be culminated with Tiffin Prague's first photo exhibition

On Tuesday, March 2nd, Belinda Whittaker will present the Management and Leadership Program - A Program for Future Leaders.

On February 24, 2010, Tiffin University Prague was visited by three representatives of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic. The University applied for official recognition by Ministry, which brings many benefits to students and is publicized in “Vyhláška č. 322/2005 Sb. (yearly Příloha č. 3)”.

On Tuesday, February 16th Neil Burton - President of Holmes Place Central Europe visited Tiffin Prague to cover a wide variety of topics including getting his first job to the 5 drivers of change in the hospitality industry Deloitte report.

Angus Bonneyman, Manager, Audit Department, KMPG, was our guest speaker last night in the Dragons Quad. Students, faculty and administrative staff were present for his personal insights into planning one's career and setting practical goals.  Using an exercise that focused on successful goal planning and achievement, Angus carefully led the group through the process and refined each step as the participants began establishing their goals.
