FALL TERM STARTS ON SEPTEMBER 20

 

The Fall 2010 term is starting on September 20 at 09.00. Please book your flights accordingly. Add/Drop period is running until September 24, and you can make changes to your schedule, free of charge, during this time. We are looking forward to seeing you all here, and we are hoping you will like the small interior changes we have made for you, and enjoy your classes this term.

Congratulations also go to the 4 instructors who achieved a cumulative overall average of 3.75, with 3 or more courses taught in the year, for the 2009 – 2010 academic year.

For Summer I:

 

Tiffin University Prague is pleased to recognize those students who achieved outstanding academic results in Summer I. Students are placed on the Dean's List if they achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or higher for the term. A minimum of 12 credit hours (4 courses) for the term is required.

During the month of July, Tiffin University Prague welcomed Northeastern University’s (www.northeastern.edu) “Dialogue of Culture – Multiculturalism in Central Europe” to our campus for 2 weeks.

 

NEW DEAN OF BUSINESS

Tiffin University Ohio has announced the appointment of Dr. Lillian Schumacher as the Dean for the School of Business. Dr. Schumacher replaces Dr. Perry Haan who stepped down after his term as Dean expired.

One of Dr. Haan’s last official duties was presiding over our 1st graduation ceremony held on June 30, 2010. He will continue to work with Dr. Laura Mays and will focus on developing Tiffin’s international programs in Asia.

 Graduation 2010

The first graduation class was awarded their BBA and MBA degrees at the historic Novoměstská radnice, Mázhaus. Dr. Perry Haan, Dean of Business Tiffin University, Ohio, USA, conferred the degrees. Dr. Jaroslav Halik awarded the MBA graduates their academic hoods, a sign of their accomplishment. 

Professor Kenneth Nicholas, the keynote speaker told the graduates “Keep trying to be who you are.  Be true to yourself. Believe in yourself.
